Scope of Work

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Strategic Communications Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with project communication efforts and providing support for event management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing project events, workshops, and meetings, including logistical arrangements and on-site coordination.
• Support the development of event materials, such as invitations, agendas, presentations, and post-event reports.
• Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content for social media platforms to promote project activities and events.
• Monitor social media engagement and report analytics to measure outreach effectiveness.
• Draft and edit communication materials such as press releases, memos, Facebook/Instagram posts, and announcements for various audiences;
• Maintain and update the project’s digital platforms, including Facebook and Instagram accounts;
• Assist in creating and editing visual content, such as graphics, photos, and videos, to enhance communications materials and social media outreach;
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and partners to ensure timely dissemination of information related to events and communications campaigns;
• Document project events and activities through photography, videography, and written summaries for internal and external use;
• Prepare posters and videos using graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe, etc.
• Contribute to tracking and evaluating the success of communications and events strategies.
• Assist the communications team with events and other activities.
• Support compliance with appropriate branding and marking of materials by following documented guidelines.
• Incorporate communications and event-related data into the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) system.
• Assist with other communications, administrative and MEL tasks as requested by Adapt Activity management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)

EDUCATION: Education/training related to journalism, graphic design, marketing, social media communications, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Some experience (such as paid work, internship or volunteer work) in a similar role is preferable. However, the key requirement is willingness to learn, enthusiasm, and good interpersonal skills.

SKILLS: Working knowledge of English and Albanian, both written and spoken. Able to communicate fluently and effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft office software (Word, PowerPoint) and tools related to social media communications and graphic design (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).

LANGUAGES: Excellent Language proficiency in spoken and written Albanian, English.

GENERAL: Strong enthusiasm, Ability to learn quickly, Tactfulness. Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team. Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all project teams.

The length of the internship is 6 months with a possibility of extension up to 1 year.
