Background

ASSOCIATION CONCORDIA Projekte Sociale is a non-governmental organization committed to supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families in Kosovo. Our mission is to create sustainable change through education, psycho-social support, empowerment, and advocacy.

We are currently seeking a Teacher to join our team and contribute to the education of children and youth in our CONCORDIA Tranzit Learning Centre.

Scope of the job

The teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, fostering their cognitive, emotional, and social development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary education, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the education program and for homework support and other educational activities for students grades 1st to 9th,
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage children and facilitate learning.
• Coordinates meetings with school teachers and parents,
• Creates a successful and exemplary learning environment in classroom activities based on students' needs,
• Implements an inclusive and innovative teaching and learning concept, with special emphasis on the socio-emotional development of each child,
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns,
• Cooperates with a multidisciplinary and multiethnic team, in order to fulfill the educational and social needs of the children.

The ideal candidate:

• Graduate of faculty of education, Primary Education Program;
• Has over 2 years of teaching experience;
• Has knowledge of remedial education;
• Has knowledge about current pedagogical and legislative trends and changes;
• Has flexibility, enthusiasm and desire to assume responsibilities;
• Has openness to work with people from disadvantaged backgrounds and ethnic minorities;
• Discretion and respect for the confidentiality of the information and data;
• Conversational level in English.
